Before moving to Melbourne, Jake worked for Fremantle based fine furniture makers ‘HandWerk’  refining his hand making skills.

After being accepted in to the RMIT’s Industrial Design program, Jake made the move to the East coast. His student projects explored lighting design, CNC machining and softgoods.

Jake recieved first class honours and a Distinction award for the work he completed in the space of Design for mental health through the act of running.

During his studies one of Jakes designs was selected to be a part of the 2019 Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven.

Upon graduation Jake began work for Melbourne lighting and furniture design Studio B-TD, where he works currently. Some of Jakes work completed at B-TD can be viewed here, as well as his personal Design & fabrication work.

Having a keen eye for photography, architecture & illustration, much of Jake’s work reflects these pursuits both through his documentation and design process.
